The Tiger or hǔ (pronounced ‘who’ with a descending tone, meaning "tiger") is the third animal of the lunar Chinese Zodiac, and embodies the spring season. The Tiger represents the concepts of courage, ferocity, and initiative.

As the third of the 12 zodiacal animals, the Tiger exemplifies energy and boldness. Those born in the year of the Tiger are considered to be natural leaders, forging new paths and facing the unknown with bravery and optimism.
